Product Description:
Continuously transposed cable (CTC) is a type of winding wires weaved by certain number of (5 - 87 strands) strips of enameled rectangular wires in two ranks according to special tectonics and wrapped by special insulation material. It is mainly used for large-scale oil-immersed power transformers, reactors and large-capacity dry type transformers.
    CTC conductor can improve using rate of winding space, min-ish volume and reduce cost, most of all, it decline the loss of circumference and eddy loss caused by leaking of magnetic field and also has advantages of improving machine strength of winding and saving winding time.

Continuously Transposed Conductor (CTC) is the most used for windings on Medium and ultra-high power transformer. It consist of a group of enameled wire, which are transposed or create a kind of rectangular strand. Now it also widely used in new energy car.

Continuously Transposed Conductors ( CTC ) is a bundle of winding wire consisting of a number of enameled rectangular wires  (5 - 87 strands) . Each strand is transposed in turn without twist along with its length and then covered with layers of insulation paper or film (PET)or the required  insulation materials.
CTC provides a ready-insulated and tightly packed array of conductors for building transformer coils which are suitable for use in the manufacturing of medium and ultra high power transformers and reactors.

According to different electric insulation requirement to select Grade 1 enamel 0.08-0.11mm or Grade 2 enamel 0.12-0.16mm. Generally, epoxy resin increase of epoxy enameled rectangular wire is about 0.03-0.05mm.
Our company adopts medium wearing instrument (tgδ) to filter enameling technics, makes enamel solidify more perfect.

Soft copper used for enameled rectangular wire shall conform to GB5584.2-85,the resistivity is not more than 0.01724Ω?mm2/m at 20°.According to different mechanical strength, below proof stress Rp0.2is recommended:

Structure design and dimension calculation:
Transposed pitch: The distance between two consecutive transposed units of CTC. Transposed pitch depends on minimum winding diameter and number of single conductor, simulation calculation of transposed pitch is:

S---Transposed pitch
d---Minimum winding diameter
n---Number of single conductor of CTC bundles
Under normal situation, transposed pitch is 10~14 times of individual conductor width, under special condition, could be 6~8times of individual conductor width.
If have special requirements on transposed pitch, please contact with us.
Inter-column paper IN order to enhance axial compressive strength of CTC and to avoid enamel scratch between strand stacks, could insert the inter-column paper or pressboard with special thickness. Suggested inter-column paper thickness is 0.13mm, generally, when (n-1)/2×A<10mm, then no need to insert inter-column paper, here A indicates thickness pf single conductor.

A : Polyvinyl acetal enameled rectangular copper wire, class 120,155 PVA+epoxy enameled rectangular copper wire, class 120   Polyester imide(epoxy) enameled rectangular copper wire, class 180 Choose thin insulation increase (0.08mm-0.11mm) or thick one (0.12mm-0.16mm) according to requirements of different electric insulation, and thickness of epoxy is about 0.03mm-0.05mm of thermal enameled rectangular wires. .
