Product Description
PU(Polyurethane elastomer)is a special material that offers the resilience of rubber combined with the toughness and durableness. It allows people to substitute rubber, plastic and metal with PU. Polyurethane can reduce factory maintenance and OEM product cost. Polyurethane has better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, and offering higher load bearing capacity.
Compared PU with plastic, polyurethane not only offers excellent impact resistance, but also offers excellent wear resistant and high tensile strength. Polyurethane have subsituted metals in sleeve bearings, wear plates, conveyor rollers, rollers and variousother parts, with benefits such as weight reduction, noise abatement and wear improvements.
(1) Good wear resistance: PU wear resistance advantages than all rubber material, Testing results show that the wear resistance is 3 to 5 times than natural rubber, and in practical applications it is often as high as 10 times.
(2) High strength and good elasticity within the hardness range of Shore A60 to Shore A70.
(3) Good cushioning and shock absorption. At normal temperature, the PU damping element can absorb 10% to 20% of the vibration energy. The higher the vibration frequency, the greater the energy absorption.
(4) Good oil resistance. PU has less affinity with non-polar mineral oil, and it is almost not eroded in fuel oil (such as
kerosene, gasoline) and mechanical oil (such as hydraulic oil, engine oil, lubricating oil, etc.), which is much better than general rubber. Comparable with NBR rubber products. The disadvantage is the greater swelling in alcohols, esters, ketones and aromatics.
(5) The coefficient of friction is high, generally above 0.5.
