TRANSFORMER PRESSBOARDS ARE MADE WITH HIGH GRADE UNBLEACHED SULPHATE WOOD PULP HAVING CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH MECHANICAL STRENGTH, ELECTRICAL STRENGTH, TENSILE STRENGTH, HIGH ELONGATION, LOW COMPRESSIBILITY AND PROPER BENDING RESISTANCE. THESE EXCELLENT PROPERTIES MAKE THE PRODUCT WIDELY USED IN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT LIKE POWER TRANSFORMERS, SHUNT REACTORS AND INSTRUMENT TRANSFORMERS ETC.
Transformer pressboard is made of high-purity 100% sulphate wood pulp processed by high-pressure processing. This product has high chemical purity and high mechanical strength. After immersion, it has both mechanical and electrical properties.It offers good mechanical strength, high dielectric strength, high density, low shrinkage, good flatness. It is widely used as electrical insulation materials in oil transformers, Reactor and other electrical equipments and apparatus.
Insulation Pressboard is a special product based on pure cellulose taken from long-fibred coniferous wood. This is structured into a fibrous tissue without additional adhesive and then pressed. Due to its high chemical purity, pressboard is excellently suited as an insulation material in electric machines, capacitors and oil-filled transformers. 100% wood or cotton thick board is characterized by its high density.
Applications
Transformer pressboard is widely used in oil-immersed transformers and reactors, capacitors, switches, etc.
To use as insulations material in Power and Distribution Transformers. It is the base material for components like cyclinders, strips, spacers, rings. washers, plates, machine formed and moulded parts, punchings and laminates.
